I've verified that the Darwin Kernel Version 9.0.0 in the screen shot you posted matches up with Leopard 10.5.0. So basically if you couldn't install the OS natively, you were also blocked from trying to install it in a VM.ĭid your iMac come with it's original Leopard OS X install discs? At least through VB 4.0.18 (I haven't tried this with any newer versions) the host CPU ID was presented to the OS installer you were running in the VM. The Leopard OS X installer does a check to verify that the CPU ID is for a CPU that was supported at the time the OS was released, and that the Mac Model Identifier is also for a Mac that was supported at time of release.
